Bauerfeind GenuTrain OA Washing Instructions
The GenuTrain OA brace should only be washed by hand at 30°C/86°F using a mild detergent. All components can stay on the Bauerfeind knee brace during washing.
Never turn your GenuTrain OA knee brace inside out as it will damage the support over time.
Hand washing instructions:
- Add warm water (30 °C) to a sink, tub or basin, mix a small amount of mild liquid detergent. Do not use bleach, stain removers, fabric softener or Woolite.
- Submerge the brace into the soapy water and let sit for 10 minutes.
- Carefully wash the brace by moving it with your hands and kneading the material to remove any dirt or debris.
- Rinse several times with water and gently squeeze to remove soap, but don’t wring the brace out.
- Remove as much water as possible once rinse is clear of soap.
- Leave the brace to air dry on a flat surface. Keep away from heat sources such as radiators or direct sunlight.
Additional tips:
- Wash your brace regularly so the compression of the knitted fabric can be retained. Regular care guarantees optimum effectiveness of the product. Also observe the instructions on the label underneath the removal aid.
- The GenuTrain OA is most beneficial during physical activity. Please remove the brace during longer periods of rest.
- Avoid contact with ointments, lotions, or substances containing grease or acids.
- If you notice any changes or an increase in symptoms while wearing the product, stop any further use and contact your doctor.
- Make sure any Velcro tabs do not touch the knitted fabric.
