- Insurance Claim Assistance: We understand the financial aspects of healthcare. We are pleased to provide Direct Billing services to applicable insurance companies, such as Green Shield Canada, ODSP and WSIB. Our medical products are not covered under OHIP. All of the items we sell are medical-grade products and may be eligible for coverage under an extended health benefits plan. Our experienced team are happy to assist with navigating the insurance claims process.

Referrals and Prescriptions
Compression stockings and compression socks: A prescription is necessary to purchase 20mmHg or higher (medical-grade) compression stockings and socks. All Bauerfeind compression socks are 20mmHg or higher.
Orthopedic braces and supports: No physician referral or prescription is necessary to purchase orthopedic brace products; however, there are advantages to having a physician prescription:
- A prescription is usually required to submit an orthopedic brace purchase as a claim to an insurance provider. The prescription should include a diagnosis of the medical condition requiring the brace.
- The purchase of an orthopedic brace is zero-rated (no tax) when supplied on the written order of a medical practitioner.
